Focus Becomes a Transformative Vision
When Eileen and I first connected, she came to our coaching alliance looking for a way to refocus and gain momentum towards attaining one particular goal in her business, a professional benchmark she had sought for over three years. She was aware of the burden of doubts – doubts in her own abilities, doubts in herself and her ability to succeed. Those doubts created an obstruction in her pathway toward fulfillment of a dream.
During the course of our first three months, Eileen did some important self-work, some true soul-searching, and identified her own personal core values. This helped her also clearly define the purpose and true meaning behind her pursuit of this elusive business benchmark. Uncovering these building blocks helped her become crystal clear in her vision and focus. She knew what she wanted and she knew why that was important to her – in other words, her focus became laser-tight. With that foundation, she created a system that served to keep her moving forward. The system included ways to measure her own personal progress and that of her team. You see, in order to reach her own personal goal, she needed the support of her multi-million dollar sales team – it was something she could not accomplish all on her own. Her motivation had to align with and enhance that of many others to achieve her goal.
In future months, Eileen courageously faced into some fears that had nearly paralyzed her in the past and as a result, she became stronger from the inside out. Establishing daily practices and routines, she began to live out a consistent commitment to self care, a necessary element of growth. As she became a stronger person, she was able to remain steadfast and continue her quest right in the face of some real challenges. As her team’s biggest champion, she was able to help each of her leaders better focus and harness the momentum of their individual visions of success. Gradually, then with growing ease, Eileen was able to release the doubts that had previously plagued her – as she did so, she began to step more fully into confidence and ownership of her personal power.
Early in 2007, Eileen realized her dream! Her vision had become manifest to all – she and her team reached the highest level of leadership in the organization. AND - the story gets even better. This remarkable woman has been able to dig even deeper in assessing her strengths and natural talents and she’s now creating a life that is more fully aligned with her passions and the things she’s great at. One of those passions is writing. Eileen has allowed herself permission to dream bigger and to envision herself becoming a nationally recognized author. Spinning a New Tale
Lori came to the coaching alliance with a very full plate. She was a full time insurance sales professional and office manager , caring for 2 active young boys and an often traveling husband, in addition to running a home-based business on the side. As she described it, she often had a sense she was in a tail spin. Her primary focus for coaching was to restore balance in her life.
Lori practiced adding more "No’s" into her vocabulary and clarifying her highest values. She began making choices that were aligned with her values and what mattered most. As she restored a sense of equilibrium, she also had some room to breathe and reflect. In the process, Lori crafted a vision of the life she wanted. Creating her vision helped her to sustain her focus on priorities. She invested her time taking actions which were congruent with her vision and her passion for providing outstanding service and making a positive difference for her clients.
Week by week, Lori took the steps to move closer to her vision of operating her own insurance agency and living near Minnesota’s Lake Superior in a log cabin. To realize means to make real. Lori has realized her vision as of January, 2007 as she opened her new insurance agency and is living with her beloved family in her dream home.
My time and energy spent coaching with Michelle helped me create a vision of where I want to be and what I want from a business-owner standpoint. She helped me stay grounded and focused on my values and goals in both my personal and professional life. She has had a positive impact on me achieving my goals and living my dreams!
