Treasures Multiplied
Today I read a friend's post about the sweetness of a challenging hike that was enhanced by the deliciousness of not knowing what would be around the next bend.
Recently I was invited to speak to a group of folks about a topic which wasn't new to them, yet my perspective on it was different. Through the course of the two hours, I was aware of how warm, welcoming and engaged the women of our group were. Their desire for learning, their open minds and deep curiosity made for a fun, fulfilling experience. Strangers became friends. I came away inspired, reminded of the gifts of curiosity.
The Language of Curiosity
Curiosity is a language
That has many goals,
Opening the human mind
And the searching soul.
The art of discovery,
Adventure on the trail,
The unexpected allusions,
The lure to prevail.
When does the seeker tire
Of questing through the unknown?
Is it when we lose the fire
Of learning what's been shown?
Buried treasure lurks nearby,
In curiosity's goal.
The wealth of wisdom is unveiled,
Enrichment for the soul.
